Social and Labour Plan
Transformation within the South African mining sector requires compliance with the Mineral and Petroleum Resource Development Act, 2002 which sets out the requirement for a Social and Labour Plan (SLP) for all mining rights holders.
LMC’s SLP covers a Human Resources Development Programme, a Mine Community Development Plan, an Employment Equity Plan, and a planned process to preserve employment and contribute to the upliftment of the surrounding communities.
All of these initiatives seek to ensure economic growth and social progress for the people of South Africa by fostering new job opportunities and improving their social and financial standing.
