If you spend time in our communities, you’ll notice a quiet shift: projects focused on real, lasting improvements that make life easier, safer, and more helpful. Here is an update.
Water: Restoring what should never be out of reach
Water is essential. In Sepitsi and Swartfontein, we’ve drilled boreholes, installed pumps and tanks, and added tap points throughout the villages. Around 20 jobs have been created, but the real impact is the peace of mind that comes with knowing water will keep flowing.
Agriculture and women’s empowerment
Sebilong’s women farmers are leading the way. We’re backing their efforts by repairing their tractor, installing fencing, supplying shade netting, and donating a light-duty vehicle so they can get their produce to market with confidence.
Community well-being: Spaces that bring people together
A strong community needs safe gathering places. In Skilpadnest, we’ve built an outdoor gym and equipment for young and old. We’ve also restored the cemetery with new fencing and signage, creating a place of respect and remembrance.
In Ramokokastad, we’re re-built the damaged, traditional leadership offices. The new prefab buildings will be fully furnished and ready to serve the community – a practical step towards restoring local governance and dignity.

Every project carries the same intention: to leave something meaningful behind by strengthening water access, supporting farming, empowering women, and improving community spaces – creating real jobs and opportunities that will remain long after the mine closes.
